COHO Swim Club

The COHO Swim Club, a developmental and competitive swimming club, is a sponsored organization of the Deerfield Park District and an affiliate of the Park District of Highland Park. Its mission is to offer support, instruction and training for amateur swimmers, to develop proficiency and sound swimming skills, and to encourage good sportsmanship and individual integrity in a positive team atmosphere. All new swimmers must tryout for COHO and swimmers who meet the minimum requirements will be placed in an appropriate group.

Minimum requirements (for children ages 5 and over): swim one length each of freestyle (with rhythmic breathing) and backstroke, demonstrate basic breaststroke, go under water and touch pool bottom in the shallow end (3½ feet), and be comfortable swimming in the deep end (4½ feet) of the pool.

Important Registration Notice: COHO uses a special registration form. To register or for more information about COHO Swim Club, visit www.teamcoho.org or call 847-572-2622.
